Section 564 · Paragraph 544. Exercise training to be conducted under the supervision of Quartermaster Inspector and Sub-Inspector

Drill in the Reserve Line will be taught under the superintendence of a Reserve Inspector and a Sub-Inspector of the Armed Police.
All under-officers and constables of the Armed Police and Civil Emergency Reserve, and all recruits, will be instructed in squad, platoon, and company drill, close and extended order, company ceremonial, guard duties, and the general principles of rank and file attack and direction of fire, discipline and control, and, insofar as these principles apply to police operations, in the suppression of riots and the encirclement of gangs of criminals.
All constables of the Civil and Armed Police are required to attend physical training. However, the Superintendent of Police/Commandant may exempt persons over 45 years of age from physical training, tool work, and other industrial exercises that the trainee cannot perform efficiently.
