Section 119 · Paragraph 114. Preparation of a map of the scene of occurrence

In cases of murder, robbery, or significant burglary, and in other cases where a map may assist the court or supervising police officer in understanding the facts, a map of the scene of the incident shall be prepared by the investigating officer. If the investigating officer is unable to prepare a map with the required accuracy, he should have it prepared by a patwari, if possible. The map should always be signed by the person who prepared it.
