UP Police Regs 424Chapter 29 · Appointment
Section 424 · Paragraph 414. Essential conditions for nomination
Text size — level 1 of 4
As a necessary condition for enlistment, every candidate must either produce a certificate of vaccination, except when he has already had smallpox, or present himself for vaccination by the Civil Surgeon. In the latter case, if the Civil Surgeon is not immediately able to perform the said operation, the recruit will be sent to him for this purpose at the first available opportunity. A reminder will be kept for all such recruits showing the date of subsequent vaccination. Any member of the subordinate police may be required to submit for re-vaccination when the Civil Surgeon deems it necessary. (The second condition will apply to constables recruited or appointed after the 18th July, 1930).
