UP Police Regs 428Chapter 29 · Appointment
Section 428 · Paragraph 418. Entry of the name of the recruit in the candidate register
Text size — level 1 of 4
As soon as a person's name is entered in the register of candidates and after it has been passed by the Civil Surgeon, or in the case of a constable who has been recruited without being registered as a candidate, his character, past history, and age should be verified in Form No. 92. This form should be written by the Line Mohrrir for dispatch in the presence of an officer not below the rank of Reserve Inspector or Sub-Inspector and should be signed by these officers and the recruit before the recruit is enrolled. The recruit should be warned that if any particulars given by him on his account are found to be false, he will render himself liable to prosecution under Section 182 of the Indian Penal Code. The Superintendent of Police should carefully ascertain whether the person has previously held any Government service and verify this point, noting it in English as clearly as possible on the result form.
