UP Police Regs 146Chapter 12 · Inquest into Death, Post Mortem Examination and Treatment of Injured Persons
Section 146 · Paragraph 140. Police officer to explain the purpose of post-mortem examination
Text size — level 1 of 4
When a police officer sends a person for examination by a medical officer, it may not be desirable for special reasons to clearly explain the purpose of such examination to him. Superintendents of Police will have to take steps to prevent, as far as possible, cases from being sent to the medical officer unnecessarily.
