Section 466 · Paragraph 454. Eligibility for promotion to the post of Chief Constable

The following constables shall be eligible for promotion to the rank of head constable:
(a) Constables of the Civil Police who, before the 1st January, 1941, have qualified in accordance with the rules for the time being in force and have passed such course as may be prescribed by the Inspector General of Police,
(b) Constables of the Armed Police who have already obtained the drill certificate of the Regiment, and
(c) Constables of the Civil and Armed Police who have passed the prescribed training course at the Police Training School, Sitapur.
