Section 273 · Paragraph 264. Return of cheque slip

If the person of bad character does not arrive within a reasonable time within the police station where he is alleged to be, the officer-in-charge will return the check slip with a report to that effect and direct the Chowkidar or Constable concerned to keep a watch for the suspect's arrival. If the person of bad character eventually arrives, a report giving the particulars required by the check slip will be immediately sent to the police station from which the check slip originally came.
