The police force comprises the following bodies:
1. Civil, Armed, and Mounted Provincial Police: Appointed and recruited under Act No. 5 of 1861.
2. Government Railway Police: Appointed in Agra under Act No. 16 of 1873 and in Oudh under Act No. 18 of 1876. Not recruited under Act No. 5 of 1861.
3. Village Chowkidars: Appointed in Agra under Act No. 16 of 1873 and in Oudh under Act No. 18 of 1876. Not recruited under Act No. 5 of 1861.
