If the District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police are unable to reach a consensus on the transfer of an officer, the matter should be referred to the Deputy Inspector General of the Range for decision.
Provided that in a district where the Collector/Deputy Commissioner is in charge of a division, the duties under this subparagraph shall be exercised by the District Magistrate (Executive).
