Section 54 · Paragraph 51. Duties of the second officer of the police station

The second officer in charge of a police station is a sub-inspector. His duties are as follows:
(1) Assemble the morning parade.
(2) Assign subordinates to duty as directed by the officer-in-charge, give them instructions, and see that they are duly obeyed.
(3) Report to the officer-in-charge errors and omissions (non-performance) by subordinates in the performance of their duties.
(4) Investigate cases assigned to him by the officer-in-charge and report the results.
(5) Exercise the police attached to the station.
(6) Carry out the orders of the officer-in-charge and see that his orders are carried out by the subordinate police.
