He may also be employed to command the guard and escort on special ceremonial occasions, when his attendance is deemed necessary for purposes of fear of disturbance or the importance of the charge. He may be entrusted with any executive duties for the maintenance of law and order or for executive purposes which the Superintendent may deem fit to assign to him. If possible, a European Inspector should be employed in cases where proceedings are to be taken against Europeans or when the circumstances of the case require the involvement of their agency in serving processes against them or conveying any information to them. European Inspectors may be directed to investigate cases involving Europeans, but they should not be employed in investigations except in exceptional circumstances.
