धारा 177 · Destroying direction posts, lamp posts, etc

Whoever, without being authorised by the committee, defaces or disturbs any municipal direction-post, lamp post or lamp or extinguishes any municipal light in any public place, shall be punishable with fine which may extend to -[five hundred rupees.]
