धारा 31 · Appellate authority

(1)

The authority empowered under sub-section (2) of section 33 and sub-section (4) of section 34 of the Act shall be-

(i)

where the licensing authority is the Director, Public Vehicles Department, [Kolkata] [Substituted vide section 5 of the West Bengal Capital City (Change of Name) Act, 2001 (w.r.e.f. 1.1.2001) for the word 'Calcutta'.], the Secretary, Transport Department, Government of West Bengal;

(ii)

where the licensing authority is the District Magistrate, the Commissioner of the Division.
