(1)

Physical Fitness.­ No person shall be recruited to the establishment unless he/she be ingood mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with theefficient performance of his official duties. Before a candidate recruited directly is finallyapproved for appointment to the establishment, he shall be required to produce a certificate ofphysical fitness from Chief Medical Officer, and in absence thereof, concerned authorityequivalent thereto.

If the post of Chief Documentation Officer­cum­Chief Librarian is filled by direct recruitmentthe candidate shall before he is finally approved for appointment, be required to pass theexamination by the Medical Board as may be prescribed by the appointing authority.
