Section 341C · Power to extend provisions of this Act relating to Councils to a transitional area

(1)

The State Government may, by order to be published in the Official Gazette, apply to a transitional area, with such incidental or consequential modification as the State Government may consider necessary for giving effect to the provisions of this Chapter, any provisions of this Act which apply to a Municipal Council for a "C" Class smaller urban area.

(2)

When any tax is imposed by a Nagar Panchayat in its local area under any of the provisions of this Act as extended under sub-section (1), the proceeds of such tax shall be expended in the same manner in which and for the purposes for which the municipal fund may be extended by a Council.
