Section 16 · Inspection of rolling stock

- The Commissioner shall inspect the following items of the rolling stock proposed to be used on the metro railway keeping in view the safety of travelling public on metro railway system proposed to be opened, namely-

(a)

important systems like traction, braking etc.;

(b)

safety items like deadman handle, door operations, etc.;

(c)

facilities for evacuation of passengers in case of emergencies ;

(d)

system of operation ;

(e)

fire prevention measures ; and

(f)

any other item, as he may consider fir for safety of passengers.
