धारा 44 · Applicability of Act to redeemed kanamdar, etc

(1)

If-

(1)a cultivating kanamdar who consents to be redeemed or (2) a cultivating customary verumpattamdar who gives up his rights as such, desires to continue on the holding as a cultivating verumpattamdar, the provisions of this Act shall apply to him as if he were a cultivating verumpattamdar.

(2)

If a cultivating kanam-kuzhikanamdar who consents to be redeemed desires to continue on the holding as a cultivating kuzhikanamdar, the provisions of this Act shall apply to him as if he were a cultivating kuzhikanamdar.
