धारा 196 · Penalty for defacing buildings etc

- Any person-
(a)
who, without the consent of the owner or occupier, and in the case of municipal property without the permission in writing of the Chief Officer, affixes any posting bill, placard or other paper or means of advertisement against or upon any building, wall, board, fence, pole, post, lamp-post, or the like; or(b)
who, without such consent or permission as aforesaid writes upon soils, defaces or marks any such buildings, wall, board, fence pole, post, lamp-post, or the like, with chalk or paint or in any other way whatsoever,अपराध एक नज़र में
