Section 36 · Salaries and allowances

The Chief Executive Councillor [, the Vice-Chairman and other Executive Councillors] [Words substituted by W.B. Act 3 of 1994.] shall be whole-time functionaries and shall be paid out of the Council Fund such salaries and allowances and shall be entitled to such leave of absence for such period or periods on such terms and conditions as may be prescribed :[Provided that an Executive Councillor, not holding any charge of any matter or department of the Council, shall be entitled to the same status and privileges to which any other Executive Councillor is entitled.] [Proviso added by W.B.
