Section 4 · Application for Registration

(1)

Every application for registration of a society under sub-section (1) of Section 7 shall be made in Form A.

(2)

Where any member of a society to be registered is a registered society, a member of the committee of such society shall be authorised by such committee by a resolution to sign the application for registration on its behalf and a copy of such resolution shall be appended to the application.

(3)

The application shall be sent to the Registrar by registered post or delivered by hand.

(4)

[ After receiving the application under sub-rule (3) the Registrar shall enter the application in the register maintained for the purpose and shall issue a receipt of such application duly signed by him, in which the date of receipt of such application shall also be mentioned.] [Inserted by notification No. 5-7-94-XV-1, dated 21-7-95.]
