धारा 1 · Short title, application and commencement

(1)

This Act may be called the Howrah Municipal Corporation Act, 1980.

(2)

It shall apply to Howrah as defined in this Act.

(3)

It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification, appoint.
