यह परिभाषा अधिनियम की परिभाषा-धारा से ली गई है।
all non-timber forest produce of plant origin including bamboo, bush, stumps, cane, tussar, cocoon, honey, wax, lac, tendu or kendu leaves, medicinal plants and herbs, roots, tubers and similar products
