धारा 16 · Penalties

- If any person,

(a)

contravenes any of the provisions of this Act or the rules made there under; or

(b)

obstructs any officer or person in the exercise of any power conferred to him or in the performance of any duty imposed on him by or under this Act or rules made there under,

he shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to six months, or with fine which may extend to five thousand rupees, or with both.

असंज्ञेय — पुलिस बिना मजिस्ट्रेट की अनुमति के जाँच नहीं कर सकती
जमानतीय — जमानत आपका अधिकार है — थाने से भी मिल सकती है
