धारा 71 · Information and aid to Excise Officers

(1)

Every Officer of the Police, Excise and Salt, Customs and Land-revenue Departments shall be bound, subject to any rules made under Section 85, Clause (i), to give immediate information to an Excise Officer of all breaches of any of the provisions of this Act which may come to his knowledge.

(2)

Every officer referred to in sub-section (1 ) and every village chaukidar, shall be bound, subject to any rules made under Section 85, Clause (i) to give reasonable aid to any Excise Officer in carrying out the provisions of this Act, or of any rule, notification or order made, issued or given under this Act, upon request made by such Officer.
