धारा 2 · Definitions

- In these bye-laws, unless the context otherwise requires :-

(1)

"Authorised parking place" means the area notified by the Chief Administrator from time to time to be used for parking of handcarts.

(2)

"Authorised parking site" means a site in an authorised parking place which is allotted on licence basis in Form F to an individual.

(3)

"Handcart" means a cart driven manually or mechanically and used for hawking articles of sale.

(4)

The expressions "road" and "Street" include berm, footpath and pavement.

(5)

"Licencing Officer" means the officer appointed by the Chief Administrator for the grant, renewal, revocation, suspension of licences and for discharging other functions under these bye-laws.

(6)

All other words used in these bye-laws but not defined shall have the meanings given to them under the Capital of Punjab (Development and Regulation) Act, 1952, and the rules, made thereunder.
