धारा 1 · Short title, extent and commencement

(1)

This Act may be called the Goa, Daman and Diu Mundkars (Protection from Eviction) Act, 1975.

(2)

It extends to the whole of the district of Goa of the Union territory of Goa, Daman and Diu.

(3)

It shall [come into force on such date] [It came into force in the District of Goa w.e.f. 12-3-1976 by Notification No. RD/MND/ACT/241/66-76 dated 10-3-1973. See Notification, at page 62.] as the Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
