धारा 5A · Appointment of Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners and Assistant Commissioners

(1)
Where in any Central Police District, an area is declared as metropolitan area as defined in clause (k) of section 2 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, the Government may appoint a Commissioner of Police for the said area and he shall, in such metropolitan area exercise, the same powers and perform the same functions as are exercisable and performable by the District Superintendent of Police under this Act.(2)
The Government may also appoint such number of Deputy Commissioners and Assistant Commissioners as they may deem necessary for the metropolitan area referred to in sub-section (1) to assist the Commissioner.इस धारा पर आपका निजी नोट
