Section 82 · Magistrates having jurisdiction to try offences

- No Magistrate other than-

(a)

(b)

a Magistrate whose powers are not less than those of a Magistrate of the second class; or

(c)

a Magistrate of the third class, specially empowered by the District Magistrate in this behalf,
shall try any offence punishable under this Act.
