In addition to the functions to be performed by the State Authority, as laid down by Sections 7(1) and 7(2)(a) (b) (c) of the Act, the State Authority may also perform such other functions, as may be fixed in consultation with the Central Authority, for carrying out schemes and programme of promoting the cause of legal aid, legal literacy and conciliation in coordination with Government, Non-Governmental Agencies, Voluntary Social Service Institutions, Universities and other bodies.
