Section 152 · Duties of Training Officer

(1) It shall be the duty of the Training Officer:
(i) to organize and supervise the training of each person under his charge in accordance with these regulations;
(ii) to identify current qualifications and previous learning in establishing training needs;
(iii) to ensure training for different categories of persons is conducted in accordance with the modules or syllabi prepared under the Training Plan and to ensure that instructors deliver lectures on standard course material;
(iv) to maintain records of training given to each person and to submit monthly reports on the progress of those trained;
(v) to maintain records of supervision in respect of practical training on actual operations; and
(vi) to perform such other duties as may be necessary for the proper compliance with these regulations.
(2) Every Training Officer shall maintain a record of his work and shall at the end of each year forward a summary report of his work during the year to the Chief Inspector-cum-Facilitator or Inspector-cum-Facilitator having jurisdiction over the training centre, through the owner, agent or manager of the mine or owner of a general or approved training centre, as the case may be.
