Section 3 · Insertion of new section 44A in Act 1 of 1917

- After section 44 of the Inland Steam-vessels Act, 1917, the following section shall be inserted namely:-"44A. Power of Court to award costs of investigation under this Chapter. - A Court making an investigation under this chapter may make such order as it thinks fit respecting the costs of the investigation or any part thereof and any money payable as costs by virtue of an order made under this section shall be recoverable under the provisions of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898, as if it were a fine.".
