Section 2 · Definitions

- In these Rules, unless the context otherwise requires,-

(a)

'appointing authority' means the Chief Justice or such other Judge or Officer of the High Court as the Chief Justice may direct;

(b)

'Chief Justice' means the Chief Justice of the High Court;

(c)

'Government' means the State Government of Uttar Pradesh;

(d)

'Governor' means the Governor of Uttar Pradesh;

(e)

'High Court' means the High Court of Judicature at Allahabad;

(f)

'members of service' means the Private Secretaries of the High Court;

(g)

'Registrar General' means the Registrar General of the High Court;

(h)

'service' means all categories of the posts of Private Secretaries which consist of Group "A" and "B" posts.
