Section 4 · Daily or travelling allowance for journey performed outside the jurisdiction

- The rates of daily allowance and travelling allowance admissible to a functionary of a panchayat for attending to official work outside his jurisdiction shall be as determined by the Government, from time to time:Provided that, travelling allowance shall not be admissible for a journey undertaken within eight kilo metres from his head quarter:Provided further that, when a journey is performed to, and from, Chennai, the rate of daily allowance shall be increased by one hundred per cent on the rate specified above.
