Section 45 · Contents of lease, kanam, kanam-kuzhikanam or kuzhikanam deeds

- Every deed by which a lease, kanam, kanam-kuzhikanam or kuzhikanam is created and its counter parts shall contain-

(a)

the name, if any, and description and extent of the holding;

(b)

the Government assessment and local cesses, if any, payable in respect of the holding;

(c)

the amount of rent or michavaram payable in respect of the holding;

(d)

if it is a kanam or kanam-kuzhikanam deed-
(i)the kanartham;
(ii)the rate or the amount of interest payable in respect of the said kanartham.
