Section 141 · Hours of commencement and close of poll

(1)
The Government shall, by notification in the Gazette, fix the hour at which the poll shall commence and the hour at which it shall close on the date or dates fixed for the poll.The hours fixed for polling shall also be published in the constituency in such manner as the Returning Officer may consider necessary.(2)
The Returning Officer may, for sufficient cause and with the previous approval of the Government, postpone the date or extend the period fixed for polling.Your private note on this section
