Section 2 · Definitions

- In this Act, unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or context.-
(i)
"Board" means the [Karnataka State Khadi and Village Industries Board] [Adapted by the Karnataka Adaptations of Laws Order, 1973 w.e.f. 1.11.1973.] constituted under section 4;(ii)
"khadi" means any cloth woven on handlooms in India from cotton, silk or woollen yarn handspun in India, or from a mixture of any two or all of such yarns;(iii)
"prescribed" means prescribed by rules made under this Act;(iv)
"Regulations" means regulations made under this Act;(v)
"village industry" means the Khadi Industry and any industry specified in the Schedule to this Act.Your private note on this section
