Section 17 · Provision in relation to jurisdiction

(1)
The offences under this Act shall be triable by a Judicial Magistrate of the First Class.(2)
No prosecution for any offence under this Act shall be instituted except by or with the previous sanction of the Executive Authority.(3)
No court shall take cogizance of any offence under this Act except upon a complaint made by a person generally or specially authorised in this behalf by the Executive Authority.Your private note on this section
