Section 2 · Amendment of section 17 of Act 1 of 1894 as amended by Punjab Act II of 1954

- In sub-section (2) of section 17 of Land Acquisition Act, 1894, as amended by Punjab Act II of 1954, in its application to the State of Punjab, the following clause shall be inserted after the words" any public road" occurring in clause (b) :-"(c) whenever land is acquired for a public purpose which in the opinion of the appropriate Government is of urgent importance."
