The Haryana Legislative Assembly Speaker's and Deputy Speaker's Salaries and Allowances Act, 1975 2

Section 2 · Definitions

- In this Act, unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or context, -

(a)

"Deputy Speaker" means the Deputy Speaker of the Haryana Legislative Assembly;

(b)

"Government" means the Government of the State of Haryana;

(c)

"maintenance" in relation to a residence shall include the payment of local rates and taxes, and charges for electricity and water;

(d)

"prescribed" means prescribed by rules made under this Act;

(e)

"residence" includes the staff quarters and other buildings appurtenant thereto, and the garden thereof; and

(f)

"Speaker" means the Speaker of the Haryana Legislative Assembly.
