- There shall be paid to each member, from the date on which he takes oath, a compensatory allowance at the rate of [five thousand rupees] per mensem :Provided that if a member is not entitled to compensatory allowance under sub-section (2) of section 3, he shall be paid an allowance at the rate of one hundred rupees for every meeting actually attended by him as such member unless he satisfies the Secretary of the Assembly that he was prevented by reason of ill-health or any other sufficient cause from attending the required number of meetings.
