- 5When under Section 72 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898, a summons is to be served upon any person in the active service of the railway it should ordinarily be sent in duplicate to the "head of the office" and the Court issuing the summons, unless the case is one of extreme urgency, shall allow sufficient time for arrangements to be made for the performance of the duties of such officer during his absence. Notice of the intended arrest of railway servant or of a person working on a railway in the service of a contractor shall be given in a similar manner, when circumstances permit, to the said company or contractor
- 6The fees hereinafter mentioned shall be chargeable for serving and executing processes issued by Criminal Courts in the case of offences other than offences for which police officers may arrest without warrant:
- 7A process upon which a fee is chargeable under Rule 6 shall not be drawn up for service or execution until the fee has been paid or has been remitted
- 8Every application for the issue of process for the attendance of witnesses shall, if the party presenting the application is represented in the case by a legal practitioner, contain a certificate signed by such legal practitioner that he has satisfied himself that the evidence of each of the witnesses is material in the case
IVPreparation of Records§ 5A–2720 sections
- 5AAll proceedings, applications, and petitions, of whatsoever nature, filed in the course of Criminal Judicial proceedings, shall be written in a legible hand or typewritten on stout durable paper
- 9Every paper as it is brought on the record shall be marked as belonging to either file A or B. File A shall include the following papers:
